Location 

Murray County communities offer convenient access to Interstate 35, which runs north to south through the heart of the county. Located between the always growing Oklahoma City and Dallas metropolitan areas, Murray County offers easy access to commuters, great transportation options for shipment needs, and miles of land waiting to be developed.

In addition to the great proximity to I-35, Murray County offers the Sulphur Municipal Airport for public and business use.

Local Natural Resources

Lake of the Arbuckles

Murray County is home to the beautiful Lake of the Arbuckles, located in between the two communities of Davis and Sulphur, Oklahoma. With opportunities for fishing, camping, boating, water sports, and recreation, the Lake of the Arbuckles has a little something for everyone.

Chickasaw National Recreation Area

Surrounding the Lake of the Arbuckles is the expansive Chickasaw National Recreation Area. Featuring hiking trails, natural springs, an educational nature center, and beautiful pavilions, the Chickasaw National Recreation Area is a local gem that tourists nationwide drive great distances to visit.

Turner Falls

Nestled in the Arbuckle Mountains right off of I-35 is the tourist favorite, Turner Falls. Owned by the City of Davis, Turner Falls Park is home to the namesake 77-foot waterfall and large natural swimming holes where visitors can swim, camp, and explore the famous caves surrounding the area. In addition to the natural wonder, activities and features near the park include zip lines, Crossbar Ranch (a 6500 offroading park), and sweet treat hot spots- Arbuckle Fried Pies and Bedre Chocolate Factory.

Culture & Arts

Murray County is a growing tourism destination for culture, arts, and history. With local features such as the Chickasaw Cultural Center, a state-of-the-art museum featuring artifacts, exhibits and live performances of The Chickasaw Nation, the county is the main stop for culture-loving travelers and locals alike.


Sulphur and Davis both offer their own Historical Society Museums, which offer historical displays and facts from years past.
